Tips for juniors =)

To those who were graduating from secondary school last year..
Congrats cause you've at last finished all these years struggling for the secondary syllabus..
And congrats for the excellent result that you had achieved..^^
First of all,  welcome to college life^^

There are some juniors who came to ask me bout the application , courses or the interview thing few weeks ago and I didn't manage to give them good explanation.. So might as well give some explanation here so that everyone is clearer..

First.. Choose the course that you feel is suitable for you..
Of course, there are some people who will think 'I think I'll be good in anything I choose..' or 'I am ok with anything..' etc.. But MAKE UP your mind guys.. Don't let your parents decide it for you! You are not 3 years old kid anymore!! Don't make up your decision quickly though.. Cause it affects your whole life.. Bear in mind.. WHOLE LIFE..
You won't wanna do the thing you hate for you whole like.. I believe everyone will wanna do something they like.. So that you won't feel bored or forsake it in the middle of no where..
But.. Don't choose something without a deep consideration as well.....  Remember that you have to be realistic too.. For example, you wanna be a photographer, but your family's finance couldn't bear to buy you an expensive camera.. Then, you might have to choose another one instead.. But of course if you can find scholarships or sponsors, that will be way better..

Second... The interview..
The scariest thing that everyone have to go through in order to get a scholarship..
Hmm... According to my experience (from the JPA interview), they will mostly ask you about the current issues.. No matter in politic (not so deep), sports, entertainment industry (not so much) and mostly your feelings or thoughts.. Of course firstly, they will ask you to tell them bout your bio-data.. Express yourself confidently.. And bout the questions that they are about to ask you, answer it confidently.. It is not the answers that matter..It's OK to be right or wrong.. They just wanna see how you perform or express yourself.. NEVER EVER SAY 'I DON'T KNOW!!!!'
For your information, these were the questions they asked me :

  1. Tell me about yourself (Malay)
  2. Why you want to choose this course (Eng)
  3. Tell me about your thoughts about country sending Dr Syeikh Muzzafar to the space (Malay)
  4. *Forgotten*
It was conducted in the groups of 5 if I'm not mistaken..
Oh ya.. Don't forget to smile during the interview.. Don't show your 'nervousness'~~
And never never cut other people's conversation and don't 'pandai pandai' talk till very long.. Be moderate..
Pray before, and after everything.. God works miracle.. Believe me^^

I think that's all.. Good luck for everything and hope to see you all in INTEC^^
