Yes yes, I'm gonna blog about my long delayed Barcelona Trip.
For those of you who don't know, I went there one year ago and you can view all the Europe posts here and here.
You better read the previous posts first before reading this one because all are equally fun and enjoyable! =)
I enjoyed writing it so I bet you must be enjoy while reading it too!
In this post, I'm gonna write about Park Güell, one of Gaudi's masterpiece & MUST-VISIT in Barcelona.
#1
Park Güell is a garden complex with architectural elements situated on the hill of El Carmel in the Gràcia district of Barcelona, Catalonia,Spain. It was designed by the Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí and built in the years 1900 to 1914. It has an extension of 17.18 ha (0.1718 km²), which makes it one of the largest architectural works in south Europe. It is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site "Works of Antoni Gaudí".
This garden is one of the most beautiful and unique I've ever seen.
It's not the surrounding a.k.a trees or lakes or floral which emphasise the beauty of the building, Instead it's the park itself which make the surrounding look so wonderful.
Don't believe me? See the photos below! =)

Photos are real and not deceiving kay~!
Luckily it was very a bright and sunny day!
That's why the sky were so clear and blue!
Notice the mosaic wall in photo #2 and the enlarged view on photo #4?
FYI, those motives are made out of broken coloured tiles and ceramics! All the motives are individual and different from each other. I don't remember seeing a repeated one. I have no idea how long has been used to plaster the whole wall of this!
Wait, there's more photos of plastered wall to come!

Not clear enough??
See below!!
#11
Amazing design for a ceiling right?
Where on earth can you find ceiling that is not flat other than Gaudi's creation?
Notice that the ceiling has no smooth surface but somehow shimmering?
That is because....

The ceiling are all plastered with tiles and ceramics as well!
Awesome right?
Even broken cups and teapot can be found on these ceiling mosaic!
A thin net is covered around to prevent injuries on tourist if the tiles are to fall by chance.

ATTRACTION 4 -- The Serpent Bench :
Wondering why and how it got that name?
It's because the bench is build so loooooong that it surround the park!
#14
The unique shape of the serpentine bench enables the people sitting on it to converse privately, although the square is large. The bench is tiled and in order to dry up quickly after it rains, and to stop people from sitting in the wet part of the bench, small bumps were installed by Gaudí.
#15
We thought the bench would be so uncomfy because it's made from hard tiles!Instead, we were surprise to find that it's so nice to sit and have your back laid on the bench!
Look at our faces! haha!
#16
Trust me, I can sit there whole day on a weather like this ♡
