I have tried out TOILET, HELLO KITTY and JAY CHOU concept restaurant but I have not once came across a madhouse concept restaurant before.
One of the first theme restaurants to open in Tokyo, Alcatraz ER is, as its name suggests, styled after a prison hospital. A prison hospital from hell, that is.

This is how the interior looks like. It looks almost like an old abandon cell to "trap" the patients and barred anyone from escaping. The chains and dimmed light make the the atmosphere more realistic and fun. The cell door is only allowed to open when the sexy nurses came to serve food for patients!

Do not expect too much from the food as they are just mediocre. 3000¥/pax for 8 courses (we thought of 8 decent dishes but saw image number #5, #6 and #7? That's for us to share) and 2 hours of free flow.

There are short and meaningless performance they made in every 30minutes time interval. The whole place was blacked out and we were expecting something scary to appear. However, turned out that nothing but just a man wearing a mask passed by. Well, there were one who opened our cell and barged in but we just laughed at him and so he went away. One session of this took around 10-15 minutes and it is literally used to use out our time to order more drinks within the 2 hours. It kept on repeating for a few times but you actually got bored after the first attempt.
