Nikko Getaway (Part1)

If you have been following my Twitter or Instagram , you must have notice that I have had an unusual getaway after exam.
I say that it was unusual because usually I will only have trips on BIG holidays like summer or spring vacation.
However, due to overstress and being in deep shit mood lately, we decided to have a mini tour in Nikko located in Tochigi prefecture in Japan 3 days ago.

Nikko is a perfect must-go during Autumn because the scenery there is breathtakingsucking.
Let me show you one of their photo of dissemination.

AWESOME RIGHT??

Unfortunately, it is still the early autumn so we don't get to see the awh-sum maple leaves..... YET.
FYI, Nikko is a tourist attraction famous for its UNESCO World Heritage Shrines.

So it was a 3 hours+ journey from our town, Kisarazu to Nikko.
That was considered a long ride given that we were on the express train, which mean extra money.
After we checked-in the hotel, the first thing we do was to grab a bite. We found this restaurant cafe (Kamaya cafe) just few blocks from our hotel and decided to give it a try.  And turned out the foods were not bad!

#1
Margarita Pizza with crispy crust!

#2
Mentaiko Spaghetti with nori and dried onions

#3
Look who has learned how to cut the pizza!
He was a lousy cutter before this.

It was time to start our adventure after filling up our tummies!

#4
Bus pass

We bought the bus pass (valid for 2 days) for 2000¥at Tobu Nikko station.
It is advisable to buy this pass for sight-seeing around Nikko because it is wallet friendly and you don't have to search for coins high and low for bus fare.
While for the green tickets, it was the entrance pass to 3 of the UNESCO World Heritage Shrines.

Mist

It was so foggy on that day where we can't see anything beyond 100m.
Spot the white area on photo #8?? There was suppose to be mountains but all I can see is just......nothing.

Actually the main reason we were in Nikko instead of Harajuku or Yokohama was because we need to get away from those hectic lifestyle to some peaceful and quite place. Instead of to be surrounded by electronics, we choose to be surrounded by mother nature.

And our first stop was the Kegon Fall.
Magnificent fall that almost took my breath away. (exaggerate to the max)
We can't even take a clear photo due to the fog.
I read on somewhere that it will freezes during winter!! Can you imagine a frozen waterfall???!
