Triangle relation in Japanese way =)

Ok.. basically this is how we learn to memorize the connection between the triangle..
As written in our Form 3 text book, we memorize SOH CAH TOA which sounds like 'lock the scissors' in Hokkien..
If you still can't figure out what I mean.. Look at the figure below. (credits to me as I drew those myself)



However.. This is how the Japanese memorize it.. Way simpler~

Sin θ


Cos θ


Tan θ



Do you get what I want to tell?
I mean they used the alphabet to relate it with the triangle. Unlike us who uses SOH CAH TOA. 
I  All of us was stunned and we were like 'WOAH!!'
Haha.. Smart right??
Have you ever came out with this idea before?

  1. lol....i still think soh cah toa is easier....u draw the alphabet but how u noe wat is up n wat is down when u divide??? soh cah toa....the letter tat comes first is divided by the letter that comes later.....besides...soh cah toa is easy 2 memorize.....hehe....just kacau here....=b

    i don't like this either.. soh cah toa better =)
    but japanese is so good in doing math with graphs and i tell u something very unbelievable.. they don't use formulae to do math at all.. that means we can't too! CRAZY!!!

  4. just by memorizing.... everything... darn...
    trigo.. everything..... i dunno how am i going to memorize it till so clearly without mixing all the formulas together.. and no calculator too... that's y they can actually just look at the ques, without thinking twice, they can give u the answer.. =.=lll
