S.Wine @ Publika Solaris Dutamas

I'm sure many of you may have heard about Publika. It's a new urban creative retail located at Solaris Dutamas. Publika is well known for its variety in chill-and-dine cafes rather than its shopping outlets. 

On the last few weeks, Povy, Chenelle and I planned to meet up but we had zero idea on where it should be! We suggested some places but at last opt for Publika as there are tons of cafes to be choose from. 

I reached there first and were given task to choose for the cafe that I feel like visiting. 

I thought of having a try at Plan B because their Egg Benedict picture gone viral on Instagram and it looks sooooooooooo good! 

However, both the KL kaki have other thoughts and we ended up in S.Wine instead. 

It's not surprised to know that a lot of people have no idea about S.Wine because of its remote location housed in a corner inside Ben's Independent Grocer!

Overall the atmosphere is great. I like how the lights are dimmed and only lighted up on the table spot. 

With a little bit of vintage touch, the cafe is simple yet sophisticated.

Now the food part. 

Each of us ordered a main dish and a salad for sharing.

Chenelle was late so I missed out her pasta!

The bf's choice

Spicy Bacon and Mushroom Pasta

 I like it very much. 

A tinge of spiciness in olio style with soothing combination of  spaghetti with chorizo, pancetta chunks, mushrooms, arugula and chilli flakes.

Povy's choice 

Momofuku-inspired Pork Buns

Came in a bamboo basket with braised pork belly placed between the mantou. 

I'm not a porky fat lover, but I find it acceptable. 

My choice

Sloppy Piggy Burger

I think I only like the fries and coleslaw served.

The patty is too thick for me and doesn't have much flavor.

But I think it's a must try for porky lover!

Salad

Warm Pork Confit, Watermelon and Lychee Salad

I like this salad a lot!

It comprises of crispy pork confit, watermelon, lychee, mint and peanuts as topping.

Everything is so right even though there is mint in it. 

If you are not a mint lover, skip the mint and eat the rest!

Pretty faces (exclude me) to feast your eyes!
