As you might have already know from the cover photo, this post is all about the tiny little fluffy kochia or scientifically known as Bassia Scoparia. According to Wikipedia, it is not only a herb in Chinese traditional medicine but also widely used by the Japanese as food garnish.

Do you remember the blue Nemophila I posted few months back? The kochia is actually grown on the same hill at the same spot! After the Nemophilas withered, kochia is planted and this ritual goes on every year.
