Bali Day One @ Kuta Beach

There is no reason to not love Bali.
I had an opportunity to go to this semi-paradise with a few of my very close friends this summer and it turned out to be one of my best memory I have. I have heard a lot about this place but to see and experienced it myself feels truly amazing.

We grabbed some food  at one of the warung (local food stall) the moment we reached Kuta Beach. Bali foods looked not much difference from Malaysian food but they surely taste much spicier!!

We watched the bli* opening the coconut
*bli : titles used by Balinese to refer a guy

Clockwise from right : Coconut that is bigger than our head, pan fried fish with rice, bakso

Fried rice with egg

After our lunch, we decided to take a few shots by the beach. It was so hard to take photos without anyone photobombing us because the beach was so packed with visitors.

While we were snapping away, a bunch of locals suddenly approached us and asked permission to take photo with us. We were hesitant for a while but agreed anyway. haha.

While some girls preferred to take photo with YW. haha!

While the boys were busy surfing, us girls decided to sit aside and continue to click the shutter button :)
Sitting by the beach might seems like a good idea but the annoying seller (selling scarfs, towels, drinks, handicrafts, interior deco, makeup stuffs and anything else you can think of) kept on disturbing our peaceful moments by offering to sell us everything. @.@
While you are in Bali, remember to bargain with the seller (no matter what) before you pay!
The guys got the surfing instructors and surfing boards for 400k rupiah instead of 500k rupiah after slight negotiation.
I do think they can get a much lower price if they continued bargaining. haha.

Can you spot the guys??

Just while we were thinking of leaving the beach, the guys' surfing instructor reminded us to stop by the turtle hatching centre to have a glimpse of baby turtle! We were so surprised and excited at the same time! I have only seen turtle in zoo before but this is definitely my first time to see their babies! Look how cute are they! They moved so fast, unlike their parents!

Anyone aware that Bali is a country that practises Hinduism? I just found out Bali has Hindu culturisation after I saw all this very first temple in Kuta Beach.

Unknown to most Hindus in the rest of the world, Bali is the place with the highest proportion of Hindus, even more so then Nepal. Over 93% of the Island’s 3.1 million people are Hindus.
