Travelogue : Ruins of St. Paul's & House of Dancing Water Macau

Trip to Macau would be considered incomplete without visiting the famous landmark, Ruins of St Paul's.
The Ruins of St. Paul's (大三巴牌坊) refers to the ruins of a 16th-century complex in Macau including of what was originally St. Paul's College and the Cathedral of St. Paul also known as "Mater Dei", a 17th-century Portuguese cathedral dedicated to Saint Paul the Apostle. Today, the ruins are one of Macau's most famous landmarks.
In 2005, they were officially enlisted as part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Historic Centre of Macau.

Weather was pretty gloomy with drizzle of rain which caused the landscape to look sad.
However it still didn't stop us from visiting and most importantly to take photos! =)

Rain started to pour at noon so we decided to proceed to Cotai for more hotel-viewing and entertainment.

There are a lot of free shuttle buses you can take to the other side of Macau. We took COD's bus because the queue seemed to be the shortest.

COD is quite well known for various show performances. One of the must-see is the House of Dancing Water (水舞间) show. Although it's quite pricey but trust be it's worth EVERY penny you paid! I've never seen anything like this before and I certainly recommend all of you to watch that show if you are to visit Macau!

"The House of Dancing Water" is uniquely created for City of Dreams by Franco Dragone, the world's most spectacular showmaker whose shows have been seen by over 65 million spectators worldwide.
After 5 years in development and USD 250 million spent to create and produce "The House of Dancing Water", the world's newest most spectacular extravaganza is now showing at City of Dreams, Macau.
The show will be housed in a purpose-built theater designed with many breakthroughs including a stage pool that holds a record-breaking 3.7 million gallons of water, equivalent to 5 Olympic-sized swimming pools.

The best part : Unbelievable motorcycles-flying-in-mid-air performance

The 85 minutes jaw-dropping show has left both of us in awe for a while. YW definitely loves it and he said that was the best part of Macau! haha! Any tiny mistake from any one of the performers will cause a big trouble to their next step! The precision is unimaginable! I heard that two of the performer there were Olympic divers. I can't recognise their face but there were 24.5m dive performance by two people at almost the end of the show so I guess it was them!
